This year’s Oscars ceremony was rife with controversy and shocking moments (Hello Best Picture Win :///) but as always, the stars didn’t disappoint, there were gorgeous beauty looks and glamorous couture in abundance.
Thanks to E!News, I’ve been able to identify one single product that celebrity makeup artists favoured for their A-list looks across the board.
That product was Glossier’s Cloud Paint cream blush. In a massive marketing move ahead of the product’s official release yesterday, the brand supplied its range to makeup artists to the stars so that they could flawlessly demonstrate the blush’s potential. Here are some pics of the beauty product in action.
Taraji P. Henson wore Dusk, a brownish nude.
Rashida Jones wore Haze.
Chrissy Teigen wore Dusk.
Right on trend, Glossier’s Cloud Paint cream blush is the perfect way to embrace the huge trend for bold blush, that debuted on the catwalks of major fashion brands. (You can read more about the bold blush trend, and other hot product predictions for 2017 here.)
The product comes in four beautiful shades (breakdown courtesy of intothegloss.com):
Brownish nude, to enhance bone structure and definition: Dusk
Light, cool pink to brighten the whole face: Puff
A berry flush without the workout: Haze
Coral-peach for a warm glow all over: Beam
But it’s not just cosmetic glam these products are going to be loved for. Glossier uses a high quantity of collagen for plumping and hydration, and ingredients with a blurring effect, for a smooth over all finish. Plus, they’re hypoallergenic, dermatologist-tested, paraben free, fragrance free, and cruelty-free.
In an article on intothegloss.com experts discuss Glossier’s new product, saying:
It’s a light gel-cream that goes on colorful, but blends out to a transparent wash. All you need is a dab and you’re instantly healthier and more awake. And your face! It has definition and you didn’t even need to contour! See? A miracle product.
And that in this day and age a good quality blush is more essential than ever!
Blush is something that really can shape your face. Especially in the era of the selfie, where everyone is taking their own pictures with iPhones and washing out the face, it’s the one quick thing that can give you added dimension in no time at all. And it’s so much easier to apply blush than any eye makeup or contour.
Cloud Paint is exclusively available on Glossier.com, (they’re $18 a pop, or currently two for $30 online). Unfortunately for anyone outside the US, they’re not yet available to for shipping. BUT,fear not, while we wait patiently for Glossier to organise themselves (we beg!) Here’s a great dupe, and cult favourite that does deliver to the UK, so you can bag a similar product and achieve some of the same effects that the A-list is loving.
