How to go make-up free all summer and still look like a glam goddess

I love summer- who doesn’t? Longer, brighter, hotter days, holidays and the chance to enjoy all kinds of things we wouldn’t normally be able to. But one thing I HATE about summer is having to wear makeup in the heat, I’ve compiled a little list of products and treatments that will have you looking glamorous from pool to to nightclub without having to reapply, blot or powder a single product.

Eyelash Extensions or (EVEN BETTER) Eyelash lift

It’s no secret that long thick eyelashes open up the face, making the eyes look bigger and more defined. If a little mascara is a big confidence boost why not enhance your lashes semi-permanently and eliminate products all-together. While I’ve been a big fan of lash extensions in the past, if you want to be swimming, sweating and moisturising this summer, a lash lift might be the best way to make the most of your time and money.

What is an LVL lash lift?

According to

‘A therapist uses a setting serum to straighten your natural lashes at the root (making them look curled up), and then your lashes are tinted, creating the appearance of mascara.’

Beauty salons are adding the LVL lash lift to their menus more frequently these days, and for relatively low prices it seems like a good way to go.

Top Up Your Tan

Err body knows that a little tan can make a massive difference, forego your bronzer and opt for tanning your face overnight with these genius little masks from St Tropez.

Specially formulated for the face, a subtle bronze glow and sun-kissed complexion can be yours for £9.99 from Boots, also available at various stores and online outlets.

Eyebrow Microblading

When did eyebrows become so important? I’m not so sure, but it’s pretty much a universally accepted fact that thick, shaped eyebrows help frame the face and contribute to a youthful appearance.

Microblading is a great way to fill out sparse or short brows and it’s semi permanent so you won’t find your eyebrows melting away in the pool or the summer heat.

Make sure you find a technician with a great track record and review the shape and colour before hand to make you’re happy with it. Microblading costs between £500 and £700 with a touch up required once a year.

Natural highlighter and perfume

For me the finishing touch is always a dash of highlighter, and the tiniest amount of this natural combination will have you glowing and smelling like a tropical paradise all day and night!

Coconut oil mixed with a few drops of orange oil- it’s 100% natural and smells delicious.

We’re all well versed in the virtues of coconut oil but here are some benefits of coconut oil you might not have heard of:

Topical application of this essential oil helps in enhancing the synthesis of collagen. It also eases the inflammation and hence is a blessing for oily skin. It improves the flow of blood to the skin and helps in clearing the clogged pores. The antioxidant nature of this oil helps to lower the signs of premature aging.

Apply a smudge of this mixture to your cheekbones, cupids bow, collar bone and shoulders and you’ll glow with the light of 1000 suns!

So here’s to celebrating natural beauty this summer! I hope you enjoyed these ideas x
