What I wore: Easter Weekend Looks

We were blessed with gorgeous weather this Easter weekend, and we all enjoyed some time off work and the chance to really enjoy it.

Of course I had to make the most of the beautiful weather and take the opportunity to dress like it was really summer. Here are the outfits I wore over the weekend.

Saturday – housewarming party and alfresco drinks

After quite a heavy night catching up with friends home from uni, I made my way to a friend’s housewarming party, shielding my hungover eyes from the sun with these adorable sunglasses from Dorothy Perkins. I adore this maxi dress from Primark because it’s so flattering and the fit is great. I added a cropped denim jacket to keep warm once the sun had gone down and I sat outside to enjoy the sunset and my tall glass of G&T. PS, how gorgeous is this orange/coral lipstick from Milani. It’s a really pretty matte and added just the right pop of colour to my outfit.

Easter Sunday – lunch, lunch and lunch again

Easter Sunday was hectic for me, breakfast with my boyfriend’s family and then back for lunch with mine and then back again for a second lunch with his and then onto more relatives for a quick drink. Phew- I’m tired just writing it. This adorable yellow dress is new from Superdry, once I got it I knew it would be perfect for Easter Sunday. I felt the sunshine inside and out. Plus, it perfectly concealed the growing food baby I was nursing underneath from all that food, and I hadn’t even gotten started on the Easter eggs!

Easter Monday – down to Dorset for pretty views

We took a little trip down to Dorset to visit The Blue Pool, a gorgeous little lake that seems to change colour, sometimes it’s very blue and other times turquoise or green. There’s a really cute tea-room there, but we brought our own snacks and found a cute secluded spot amongst the trees. It’s easy to forget how relaxing it can be just sitting by water. No wonder people recommend it for good mental health and general calm, I’d do it everyday if I could. The weather was gorgeous and the views were picturesque. I love this straw hat from Primark for keeping the sun off of my face and I can’t forget my trusty Zara sling-backs which look adorable with just about any outfit.
