My new poetry book: PEACHSOUL

Well, this is the new normal right? I hope you’re safe and well in the midst of the crisis. These are unprecedented times and it’s been amazing to see so many people come together to get through it.

Most of us are going to be spending a lot of time in our homes for the foreseeable future and I decided to use the time to finally finish a long-running project.

Introducing my book PEACHSOUL! Available to buy here.

I wrote most of these poems in my teenage years or as I like to refer to them ‘the wilderness years’, when everything was new and I felt incredibly fragile. I wrote to document the precious madness specific to teenage life, the bittersweet freedom that you feel as you’re living it and you know you’ll never quite experience it again. Many of the poems are about grappling with ideas of life and death, love and lust, guilt, shame and hope. The more recent the poem, the more hopeful- which I think is a good sign. These poems document a cooling, a settling into life, the growing happiness of someone who once felt too sensitive and dark to make a go of things. I hope they will encourage another ‘peachsoul’ or two.

This collection of poems is very personal to me and I’ve created this book as much for myself as for anyone else. Poetry has always been a great love of mine and I’ll always go back to it, I love how just a few words can mean so much and touch you in ways you hadn’t imagined. For me, poetry is a truly personal art form, it’s helped me feel less lonely in hard times and I hope my poetry can do the same for someone else.

You can see a couple of the poems on my Instagram account but many of them are new and previously unseen.

I would love to hear your thoughts on the poetry collection and as always, if any book bloggers or poetry fanatics are interested in receiving a copy to review, please email me via

Thank you for your support and stay safe x
